Denman Tangle Tamer Ultra Brush

I've been using this Denman Tangle Tamer Ultra brush for a over a month now - I have long fine hair, but lots of it. As a result it tends to get knotted very easily. It really is the bane of my life! I have bought most of the detangling brushes available, I even found an old Denman Tangle Tamer that I must have bought well over a year ago, which I completely forgot I had. When I found out about the release of the new Tangle Tamer Ultra from Denman, I just had to try it out. It comes in 5 bright Summer colours: orange, pink, green, blue and yellow.
The Ultra is a larger version of the original Tangle Tamer - because it's larger, it's said to be better for long or thick hair, which I would definitely agree with. I've been using both brushes recently to see what the different is. The bristles in both look very very similar,  however I do prefer the new Ultra brush as it seems to detangle my hair much quicker than the original does (this is probably because it's a much bigger brush). Check out my Instagram for side by side photos Link!

The bristles in this brush are nylon, and are said to glide through the hair removing knots. I'm always dubious when detangling brushes make claims like that, as more often than not, I find they fall short of their claims. However in this case, I was very pleasantly surprised and delighted as it does in fact detangle hair with minimal effort. I don't know how it does it, but even if my hair is badly knotted it manages to detangle it with very little effort! I absolutely love this brush, I've used it everyday since I got it. I have used it both on dry hair and towel dried hair. I haven't used it on soaking wet hair, as it's got an air cushioned pad in the base and I would be afraid that wetting it might ruin it.

There are four bristles, (two long and two short) clustered together coming out of each hole in the cushioned base. I really like the fact that this brush has longer bristles, as I feel like every hair is being reached. I think these long bristles would especially be of huge benefit to those of you with very thick hair. This is where I found other detangling brushes like the Tangle Teezer  have fallen short, the bristles were just too short to reach all the hairs. I also thought it's worth mentioning that Denman's Ultra brush is also suitable for hair extensions and wigs.

I would recommend this brush to absolutely anyone who has hair that gets tangled easily - it really is like magic! Some days my hair could've taken up to 15 minutes to brush through - however since I've started using this brush even on a really bad hair day, I can brush it through in well under 5 minutes! These are £12.50 (and worth every penny in my opinion) Link!
I bought the Wet brush from Cult Beauty around the same time I got this, but I have loved the Ultra Tangle Tamer so much I haven't tried The Wet Brush yet!
