This "Ruby" brush is the latest release from Denman especially for Valentines Day. They've teamed up with artist Emma Geary, also known as AnarKitty, to create this special edition version of Denman's classic D3 styling brush. Link!

The image on the back of the brush is of a flapper girl - which represents the very glamorous style of the 1920's (think The Great Gatsby). The image depicts a woman wearing a layered flapper dress, accessorized with a long string of pearls, and the look is finished with the typical 1920's finger wave hairstyle - which is topped with Denman's signature crown for a slightly modern twist.

The brush itself feels very sturdy, the handle and back of the brush is made of a durable glossy red plastic, the bristles are plastic and are embedded in a very thick sturdy white rubber base.
To be honest, when I first got this brush I wasn't sure how suitable it was going to be for my hair (I have very long fine hair - and lots of it), which means it gets knotted very easily and it's difficult to get volume into it. However, I have been pleasantly surprised!
I've been using this brush for a few days now, I even managed to fully blow dry my hair just using this brush. It made my hair sleek and straight. My hair naturally would be quite straight with a bit of a wave.

The bristles are quite stiff, they don't have round ball tips on the ends like a lot of other brushes do. However the tips themselves are slightly rounded, meaning that the bristles don't scratch your scalp. Since the bristles are quite stiff I have found the brush goes through my hair nicely, I feel like my hair is thoroughly brushed through when I use it. In saying this, as the bristles are not very flexible it isn't ideal for detangling very knotted hair.
I think this is an excellent basic hair brush - I was really impressed that I was able to blow dry my hair sleek and straight with it, not to mention that I think the artwork on the brush is gorgeous!

I noticed there is a tangle teaser brush in their range, I'd be interest to see what it's like. If you've tried any Denman hairbrushes, I'd love to know what you thought of them in the comments below.

Please note this is not a sponsored post, however the brush was sent to me as a PR sample - none of the links are affiliate links.
I hope you enjoyed the post and found it useful!
