For this Autumnal look I wanted to go for something that could be worn day or night. I decided to go for warm browns and plum tones on my eyes, with a pinky red lip - perfect for this time of year.
For my base I applied one pump of the Bourjois healthy mix
radiance reveal foundation in No52 Vanilla, Link! It gives good medium coverage, but feels very
light and leaves a slightly dewy finish on my skin. For a much more in depth look at this
foundation, check out my review here. I dotted it all over my face and then buffed it
into the skin in circular motions with the Sigma F80 flat top Kabuki brush.
In order to cover the dark circles under my eyes, I applied Nars
radiant creamy concealer Link! I blended it out with my ring finger. I use the
shade 'vanilla' which is slightly too light for me - but it is good for my under eye
area, as it helps to brighten it up. I really like this concealer as it does not
look dry or cakey - the only thing to be aware of is that it does need to be
set with a powder, due to its very creamy texture.
To set my base, I applied a very light dusting of Guerlain
meteorites perles in teinte rose 01 Link! under the eyes and down my T zone. with a Sigma
F30 brush. I love this powder as it is extremely finely milled and leaves a
slight luminosity to the skin. One thing to note about this powder is that it
has a strong violet scent. I also thought it was worth mentioning that I have
very sensitive skin and sometimes if a product is heavily scented, it will leave me with loads of tiny textured bumps under my skin; however I've had no negative reactions to this powder!
I then applied a small amount of Clarins duo bronzer in Medium Link! lightly
along my cheekbones and up onto my temples to warm up my face (just so I didn't
look like a ghost). I swirled my Real Techniques blush brush in both sides of the bronzer. This bronzer has a small amount of very fine shimmer through it, but nothing too intense - the shimmer is barely noticeable on my skin. I then applied Nars
Doucer Link! along my cheekbones with a Sigma F40 brush. This
blush is a dusty rose shade with a subtle mauve undertone and again has finely milled shimmer running through it. I didn't want to go
for a heavy contoured look, as I felt there was enough going on with the lips
and eyes.
For my eyes, I decided to go for warm brown and plumy tones. I used MAC eyeshadows Link! to achieve this look. I first applied Twinks (a
warm toned, dark metallic cranberry shade) all over the lid up to the crease
with Sigma E55 a flat shader brush, I then put Swiss Chocolate (a matte warm
brown with slight red tones) through the crease with a MAC 217 brush and then blended the two shades together with a clean Sigma E40 brush. Next, I applied Embark (a very dark matte warm toned brown shade) in the outer corner
with a Sigma E36 brush, again blending with the E40. I then applied Trax (a purple metallic
shade with gold micro shimmer through it) on the inner half of my eyelid with
another flat shader. I also applied a tiny amount of Nylon (a pale metallic
beige) in my inner corner to brighten up the look - and Brulee (a
matte beige shade) under the brow bone as a subtle highlight. Finally, I ran a small amount of Embark and Twinks on the lower lash
line with the Sigma E36.
I then applied Nars larger than life eye pencil in Via Veneto Link! to the upper lash line. I really like this pencil as it doesn't drag on the eye at all, it’s soft and goes on very smoothly. It’s also long lasting and doesn't smudge or transfer. I thought it was worth mentioning that it is a retractable mechanical pencil - meaning it cannot be sharpened, however I have found that you can still get a thin precise line using the edge of the nib. To finish my eyes, I applied one coat of Bourjois 1 seconde volume mascara. Link! It separates my lashes and gives lots of volume with a decent amount of length. Check out my review of this mascara here for more details.

I then ran Anastasia Brow Whiz in Brunette Link! through my brows to fill in any gaps.
To finish the look, I applied Rimmel Kate Moss matte lipstick in
107 Link!. I have found that this lipstick isn't completely
matte, it feels very comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry them out. It lasts about three hours if I apply one coat,
blot it and then apply another coat on top.
