Inside My Travel Makeup Bag

I'm heading to Spain with some friends next week - I'm attempting to pack light & thought you guys might be interested in what makeup bits I'm bringing with me and how I pack them. I don't wear makeup sunbathing. therefore I'll only really be wearing it at night. I also don't like wearing heavy makeup in the heat as it just melts off my face, so my aim is to keep my base makeup light and  luminous looking!
The bag I'm using is one I got from Henri Bendel in New York a few years ago. It has two big zip compartments and also has an additional smaller zip compartment on the left hand side. The entire bag is plastic - making it ideal as a travel makeup/skincare bag, as it is wipeable.  It is also very handy when packing as the two sides can be zipped together making the bag more compact, or it can be laid flat as pictured above. Either way all products are  secure as each compartment is zipped closed.
I can fit a surprisingly large amount of products in this bag; all of the above products fit easily in one side of this bag. I usually pack my skincare in one side and makeup in the other.

Base:
For my base I wanted to bring light weight products that would give me  glowy luminous looking skin. The last thing I want on holidays (or anytime) is for my base products to look heavy or cakey.
YSL Le Teinte Touche Eclait foundation- This is by far my all time favourite foundation. It is really light weight but still gives good coverage while leaving your skin looking glowy.
Dior Skin Nude BB cream- This BB cream has broad spectrum SPF 10 & gives decent coverage - but is still light weight on the skin.
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer- This again is a light weight concealer with a smooth blendable texture. It offers really good luminous coverage to any area it is applied to, making it ideal for the under eye area as well as around the nose.
Maybelliene lumni touch highlighting pen-  I use this to highlight the centre of my face. I also sometimes layer it over my Nars Concealer (depending how bad my dark circles are)
Nars Light Reflecting Crystal Powder- I like to use this to set my under eye concealer, as I find that it doesn't crease and it further brightens the area.
Ambient Lighting Powder- I'm bringing this as it is a light weight finishing powder. It helps set make up in place, while still leaving a luminous finish on the skin.
MAC Fix + Spray- I use this as a finishing spray. I like to use it if I've applied too much powder when I'm finshed my makeup, as I find it takes away the powdery look.

Cheeks:
I managed to narrow my selection down to three - shockingly they are all peachy pink shades that leave a sheen along the cheekbones when applied.
Beeca Flowerchild- This is a peachy pink shade, with a smooth, blendable texture - it has a small amount of micro shimmer through it. When applied to the skin it provides a sheer wash of colour but it can easily be built up for a more pigmented application.
Nars Deep Throat- This is another peachy pink shade with micro shimmer through it. It also leaves a luminous sheen on the skin.
Deep Throat and Flowerchild are very similar, I probably don't need both of them-  but I really like them both so I'm bringing them (They're small, light and they don't take much too much room) and so the over packing begins....
Clinque Peach Pop- This is a warm toned peach blush, while it has no shimmer in it. It's not completely matte either - it too leaves a gorgeous sheen on the cheeks. It is a powder blush, however its texture is so smooth and blendable it almost feels like a cream. Check out a more detailed post on these blushes here.
Bobbi Brown Natural bronzing powder - This is a neutral toned matte bronzer. I use it as an all over bronzer to warm up my face and also sometimes use it as a contour to add more definition to my face.
Dior Nude Skin Bronzer in 002 Amber -This has a golden undertone and has micro shimmer through it, however when applied it just leaves a gorgeous sheen on the skin. I've done a more detailed post on these bronzers here.

Eyes:
Naked palette I decided to bring this as I can create anything from a minimal neutral eye, to a bronze summer look, to a dark smokey eye. I'm also taking the Marc Jacobs Lolita palette ( just cause I love it and again its small, sleek and doesn't take up that much room....) check out my review of the palette here.
Nars larger than life- This is a mechanical black eye pencil to line my lash line and help smoke out any look.
I'm also bringing my holy grail mascara Dior Show Black out. This is my Favourite mascara, it is both lengthening and volumising. The only downside is it can be difficult to remove.

Lips:
Bite Beauty Luminous Creme lipstick in Violet. -This is a moisturising cool toned purple lipstick.
MAC Girl About Town This is a fushia pink creme sheen lipstick. This is my favourite formula of MAC lipstick as it feels very moisturising and comfortable on the lips.
Estee Lauder Crystal Pink- This is a sheer pink glossy lipstick with slight mauve undertones. It is a perfect subtle everyday colour.
MAC Lovelorn Lipstick - This is a mid-tone rosey pink and is a creme sheen.

Brushes:
From left: Sigma medium angled shader E70, Sigma tapered blending brush E40, MAC 222 crease brush.
Middle from top: Real Techniques blush brush, Sigma large angled contour F40, Sigma large powder F30. Blank Canvas Cosmetics F30 sculpting brush, Sigma F80 Flat top kabuki.
From right: Sigma small blending E36, Mac 266 liner brush, Sigma E55 flat shading brush. Check out my detailed post on these brushes here.

Ok so this is not really packing minimal makeup, but it is a lot less than I usually bring.
I hope you found it useful if you're going on holidays soon, and you're looking for ideas on what you should bring. Let me know in the comments what some of your favourite products to bring on holidays are.
Please note I purchased all products mentioned and none of the links provided are affiliate links.
