Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow Review

I picked two of these shadows up about a year ago when they first came out. For some reason, I thought they were limited edition and that I'd left it too long to review them. However it turns out they are now part of Dior's permanent line.
These shadows have a kind of unusual texture - they feel somewhat bouncy in the pot, similar to the Maybelline bouncy blush. They also have a smooth wet gel texture but remain solid. They are in no way goopy like a normal gel texture would be.You can rub your fingertip along he top of the product and your finger won't sink into the product.
The shadows are described as multi-dimensional, therefore there is a lot of multi-coloured glitter through them.
I also thought it was worth mentioning that I've had these for about a year and neither one has dried out,  which I have to admit I was kind of concerned about. When I first got them, before I'd even used them, I noticed that the product was coming away from the sides of the pots, and so I was afraid that they looked dry to start off with however they were not dry at all.

Meteore- This is a gold shade with milti-coloured glitter through it. It is very pigmented and has a smooth wet texture.

Hypnotique-This is a smokey purple shade again, with lots of colour glitter through it. This shade isn't as pigmented as Meteore. I have found that this needs to be layered to get a opaque finish.

There is a lot of coloured glitter through these shadows, so I have found that it's best to do your eye makeup first when using them as there is fall out. Once your eyes are done, you can then clean up the glitter fallout before applying your base.
Unfortunately, I found that when applied they didn't dry down or set on me and they completely disappeared within 2-3 hours - with only the glitter left behind (I don't have particularly oily lids). I also noticed they left my eyelids feeling tacky, even when all of the eyeshadow has worn away.
I also tried to use them as bases under both MAC and Urban Decay eyeshadows, ( I have no problem with the lasting power of either of these powder eyeshadows when worn alone!)
I've found applying these Dior shadows as bases didn't work out too well either as Hynotique only lasted 2 hours before it was gone taking whatever powder shadow that was over it with it. While Meteore lasted about four hours before disappearing and also taking the shadows that were on top with it. Leaving only the glitter behind!
One other slightly negative thing I've noticed about these eyeshadows is their scent. It's a faint chemical scent (in the pot) - however once applied or even swatched there is no scent.

I am very disappointed with their lasting power and for the €31 price tag Link! I couldn't recommend them.
I'm really curious to know if anyone else has had the same experience with them. Please leave me a comment below and let me know if you've tried them.

Please note I purchased all of the products mentioned. The above links are not affiliate links.
I hope you found this post useful.
