Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Review

I picked up three bright shades of the Bite Beauty Luminous Creme lipsticks in Sephora a few months ago - these lipsticks are very pigmented with a creamy smooth texture and leave a glossy finish on the lips. They're also moisturising and feel very comfortable on the lips. They have a very light pleasant scent (slightly sweet and fruity). I am very sensitive to scents especially when it comes to lipsticks, if they're overpowering they tend to give me headaches. However I have no problems with the scents of these lipsticks!
Initially when I got them I was a little disappointed with their lasting power. I have since discovered if you apply a layer of lipstick, then blot and reapply a second layer, there is no issue with their lasting power (approx four hours). Whereas, if I just apply a single layer it only lasts about an hour and half before I need to reapply.
I also really like the sleek packaging of these lipsticks, it is a matte grey slightly rubberized texture, similar to that of Nars packaging. The lids have a secure click closure, therefore the is no danger of them opening accidentally in your handbag.

One thing in particular that makes these lipsticks different from other brands is that they are made from all natural food grade ingredients. This technically makes them edible! And considering on average we consume between 4-6 lbs of lipstick in a lifetime, that would be close to 20 tubes of lipsticks. I thought this was definitely something worth mentioning.
These lipsticks are packed with an antioxidant called resveratrol, which is found in red wine and is said to be anti-aging. (There is as much resveratrol in one tube of these lipsticks as there is in five glasses of red wine). These lipsticks have no harmful nasty ingredients in them, they are paraben, sulfate, phthalates, petrolium & polybutene free.

The shades I picked up are Violet, Vigne and Vidal:
Violet- This is a bright vibrant blue cool toned purple shade with a slight hint of pink to it. It has a slight sweet scent (reminds me of the smell of parma violet sweets).

Vidal- This is a bright raspberry pink colour and has a faint scent of cherry to it.

Vigne- This is a deep berry pink with red undertones - it has a faint pomegranate scent to it.

Vidal and Vigne look very similar when swatched. Vigne has more red in it, while Vidal has slightly more pink in it, but they are quite similar. ( I probably don't need both). I really want to try out some of their more neutral shades. They're next on my list!

I am very impressed with these lipsticks. I love the colours, textures and the formulas of them. As well as the fact that there are no nasty ingredients in them, and for $24 (approx €18)  I think they're worth it. While they're is not cheap it is not an extortionate price for lipstick either.
These are currently only available in Sephora Link!. However now Sephora will deliver directly to the UK and to Ireland via Parcel Motel.

Please note I purchased all of the products mentioned. The above links are not affiliate links.
