My Favourite Bronzers (Summer 2014)

Top 5 Bronzers

I love using bronzer especially in the Summer to warm up my face and neck. In the summer my body goes a lot darker than my face ( I wear SPF 40 on my face when lying in the sun), so I need to use bronzer to help match my face to my body.  I had a tough time narrowing my favourites down, but I managed to limit it to five. These include everything from a matte contour shade, to a sheer glowy shade, to darker warmer shades.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Natural

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Natural- Link! This is a matte neutral toned bronzer (neither warm nor cool).  I use it all over my face to warm up my complexion, applying it to the high points. I also blend this down my neck. Because it is a matte neutral toned shade, I can also use it to contour.

Guerlain Terracotta Four seasons Bronzer in 02 Brunette
Guerlain Terracotta Four seasons Bronzer in 02 Brunette

Guerlain Terracotta Four Seasons Bronzer in 02 Brunette Link! This is another matte bronzer - it is finely milled and applies smoothly. There are four segments in the compact and each of them are different shades, ranging from light to dark. It has a warm golden undertone to it. I have done a beauty look with this, see what it looks like when applied to the skin here

Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 03 Brunettes
Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 03 Brunettes
Guerlain Terracotta Light Sheer Bronzing Powder in 03 Brunettes-Link! This has a mosaic pattern, it consists of  4 shades (a peach, and three varying brown shades). This bronzer has micro shimmer particles through it. It is very sheer but can be built up for a slightly more pigmented application. It has a peachy golden undertone to it and leaves a gorgeous glow on the skin. I have done a beauty look with this bronzer, see what it looks like when it's applied to the skin here

Guerlain Terracotta Sun Celebration Bronzing Powder & Blush
Guerlain Terracotta Sun Celebration Bronzing Powder & Blush
Guerlain Terracotta Sun Celebration Bronzing Powder & Blush- Link! This is my most recent bronzer purchase. It is a limited edition and was brought out to celebrate Guerlain's 30th anniversary. There are four segments in the compact - peach and pink blush shades, as well as a bronzer shade split into two separate segments. It's a very finely milled smooth powder, and has a gorgeous summer kind of beachy scent to it. I have sensitive skin & I am always worried that scented products will break me out, but this hasn't and I've been using it for about a month. It is a very warm toned bronzer. All the shades in the compact are matte, however it comes with a gold over-spray in the centre. This brushes away but some small amount of the gold shimmer is left behind. I have done a detailed review of this bronzer here

Dior Skin Nude Tan in Amber 002

Dior Skin Nude Tan in Amber 002 Link!  This bronzer has a warm golden undertone to it - it has micro glitter particles through it. However the bronzer does not look glittery once applied - it just leaves a lovely glow on the skin. It is a finely milled powder and it applies very smoothly.

    1. I really like Hoola as well- The only reason I haven't been using it lately is cause I've had mine for years and years & it's really looking the worst for wear. I really have to pick up a new one :)
