Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Review

Charlotte Tilbury is a world renowned makeup artist with over 20 years experience in the industry. She has created both editorial looks in every major fashion magazine, and red carpet looks for celebrities at all the big award shows.

I ordered a selection of products from Charlotte Tilbury's makeup line from the Selfridges website (links below) - Charlotte's products are also available from NET-A-PORTER. Both deliver internationally.
Charlotte has put together 10 looks which can be achieved using her products. When shopping for for her products, you can shop via product or via look. She put these looks together to help her customers achieve whichever look they want from start to finish. I chose the Dolce Vita look.

Cheek to Chick blusher in ecstasy  - The outer shade of this blush is a peachy nude colour, while the centre is peach colour with a hint of pink  This blusher contains micro shimmer, wears evenly, has excellent pigmentation and lasts all day.

Dolce Vita eyeshadow quad - These shadows have a soft buttery texture, they are all highly-pigmented, incredibly smooth and easy to blend. There are four shades in the palette. A prime shade, a enhance shade, a smoke shade and a pop shade. The prime shade is a warm champagne shimmer, the enhance shade a warm red brown with a satin finish, the smoke shade is dark brown with a hint of bronze and has a satin finish, the last shade in the palette is the pop shade; it is a glitter-gold shadow, although I have found that there is small amount of glitter fall-out during application, as glitter shadows go, it has an extremely smooth texture.

Rock N Kohl liquid eyeliner pencil in bedroom black - This pencil is very soft and is extremely pigmented, it goes on smooth (I very lightly run this across my upper lashline) and I still get an even highly-pigmented application. It does not pull or drag on the skin. The only issue I have with this pencil is that as it's so soft, it does smudge and transfer on me after an hour or two. However if I apply a black eyeshadow on top of the eyeliner to set it, it stays in place and doesn't smudge or transfer. (I use Mac Carbon)

Full Fat Lashes mascara in glossy black - This Mascara comes with a bristle brush, I find the formula is be slightly dry. I really like this mascara, not only because it gives volume to the lashes but it lifts and separates as well. I also find that because the formula is on the drier side, its easier to work with.

Penelope Pink KISSING lipstick This is a warm nude, and is the perfect lipstick when doing a smokey eye look. I found this lipstick to be quite heavy and waxy, it applies evenly and doesn't dry out my lips.  This lipstick has a light vanilla scent and contains light diffusing pigments which means the lipstick has a slight shimmer when applied.

In the below look I used the prime shade all over the eye, with the warm red toned brown enhance shade in the crease, and the dark brown smoke shade in the outer v. In the second eye look (above), I did the same as the first look and added the pop shade to the lid using a flat shader brush. For blusher, I used a mixture of the two shades and placed it along my cheek bones.  I have the liner along my top lash line, smudged out with a Mac 266 angled liner brush (I did not set the liner with carbon in these looks). I have one coat of  mascara on and I applied the lipstick liberally.

These products are expensive - especially when you have to pay hefty shipping costs as well (approx £20). I received the products via DHL in two days! If I had to pick the products that I absolutely think are worth the money, they would be the eyeshadow palette and the blusher.

Please note none of the links are affiliate links and I purchased all the products mentioned.

I hope you found this review useful!
