Marc Jacobs Beauty Review

I asked a friend to pick me up these products from the Marc Jacobs beauty line at Sephora. Unfortunately they are only available in the USA. Although this range could not be considered inexpensive, it is by no means extortionately priced either - and given the excellent quality of the products I think it's worth the money!

The products all come with individual pouches with a single stud fastener on each. The casing of each product is made of glossy, solid back plastic with Marc Jacobs embossed in small letters on the front. The blushes and eyeshadow palettes open and close with a solid button on the side of each, while the lipsticks have a magnetic closure - this ensures that the lipstick will not accidentally open if knocked around in your handbag!

Obsessed blush This is a peachy pink powder blush. It is described as a shameless bold blush; however, I have found that it applies sheer but can also be built up on the skin. This blusher has a gorgeous sheen to it, with no glitter of shimmer to speak of. This blush has a smooth texture and wears well - it lasts all day and does not go patchy.

Roll the dice lipstick This is an opaque raspberry pink colour, it goes on smoothly, doesn't dry out the lips and is fairly long lasting - about two hours before I have to reapply.

The Lolita style eye con palette No7 It's made up of seven neutral eye shadows -3 matte shades, 1 shimmer shade and 3 metallic shades one of which is slightly duo chrome. There is a flesh (yellow toned) matte shade, a warm toned medium brown matte shade, a dark brown matte shade which I could not describe as either warm or cool toned - its a neutral, toned dark brown. The shimmer shade in this palette is a pale bronze with gold flecks. The next shade is metallic and has a slight duo chrome finish - it's pale pink with a bluey undertone, making it a cool toned pink. Then there is a metallic warm gold shade, & the final shade is a warm metallic bronze shade. All of these have a smooth texture, they apply and blend beautifully. Even the shimmer shade goes on smoothly and although could not be described as opaque, it does have decent colour payoff for a shimmer shade. I have not noticed any fallout from any of these eye shadows.

I also received a sample size of the lash lifter black mascara. I'm really impressed with this mascara, it has a bristle brush which lifts and separates the lashes. It makes my lashes look fuller and longer. It stays in place and doesn't flake or transfer.

In this eye look, I am wearing the first matte shade in the palette all over my lid, the medium brown in the crease and the dark matte brown in the outter corner, with the warm gold shade on the inner half of the lid.

Please note I purchased all of the products mentioned & the links provided are not affiliate links.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and found it useful!
